The ZIPBOLT™ family is an innovative solution by Knapp for connecting countertops and frames. Simply insert the appropriate connector type into the pre-drilled recess, secure it with a cordless drill and bit (hex key), and you’re done. While traditional connectors require complex screwing with a wrench, assembling ZIPBOLT™ is easy and incredibly fast, even one-handed. This ease of installation doesn’t compromise on strength either. This is made possible by the unique structure of the system, consisting of a threaded rod with metric fine threads and a power-transmitting gear drive.

The Original Family: ZIPBOLT™ 85, 120, and 170, plus 100 Mini
The various versions of ZIPBOLT™ are precisely tailored to specific requirements. ZIPBOLT™ 85, 120, and 170 are designed for horizontally connecting countertops ranging from 25mm to 40mm in thickness. They are 9.5mm tall and should be drilled in with a 35mm diameter, 20mm deep pot hole. ZIPBOLT™ 100 Mini is 5.5mm tall and requires a 25mm diameter, 13mm deep pot hole for installation. It can be used with panel thicknesses of 12mm to 20mm. The metal housing of all four types can withstand a breaking load of approximately 100kg, with a tensile load capacity of up to 60kg.

The New Addition: ZIPBOLT™ 100 Mini Ultra Slim
The newest family member, ZIPBOLT™ 100 Mini Ultra Slim, is ideal for connecting thin panels starting from 13mm thickness. In this case, the drilling depth is 10mm. This connector type is exclusively available in the German market through Knapp.

Corner Joints and Furniture Construction: ZIPBOLT™ 90 KD
ZIPBOLT™ 90 KD was specially developed for office and home furniture, shelves, chairs, beds, and table constructions. This variant doesn’t require additional tensioning during assembly. The connector holds the components in place, reducing processing time while improving quality, as the material can be damaged by clamping tools. In combination with additional doweling, all chair legs or pieces of furniture can be mounted simultaneously.

Secure Handrails: ZIPBOLT™ Slipfix RailBolt
ZIPBOLT™ Slipfix RailBolt allows for quick attachment of handrails between two sturdy posts. The two-part connector is inserted into the railing posts or handrail during pre-fabrication. On-site, the handrail is simply hooked and lowered into the respective „keyhole“ of the counterpart. Subsequently, the connection is tightened using the ZIPBOLT™ housing.
