TREPPO Levelling screw for stair treads
Adjustable stair-mounting system.
The TREPPO system allows an efficient mounting of wooden steps on concrete. The height-adjustable fastening screw allows the exact balancing of height differences of individual steps in concreted staircases. Saddle stairs and footboard constructions are very easy to install, the installation effort can be considerably reduced with this easy to use system. The connecting system is installed invisibly, and thus, meets the highest demands of installation and esthetics.
- Fast – easy installation.
- Precise – possibility of adjusting and leveling the individual steps.
- Flexible – free positioning of the mounting hole.
- Safe – no loosening of the wooden step (which is a common occurrence with glued steps).
For mounting wooden step on concrete and similar material staircases, as well as saddle stairs, and footboard constructions.
The height-adjustable fastening screw allows the exact balancing of height differences of individual steps in concrete staircases. Saddle stairs and footboard constructions are very efficient to install, the installation effort can be considerably reduced with this easy-to-use system. The connecting system is non-visibly when installed, and thus, meets the highest demands of installation and esthetics. It is easy to install the steps from the bottom to the top or vice versa. The installed steps are immediately loadable, with sufficient time for precise adjusting and leveling. The TREPPO-Screws can be freely positioned, at the same time and providing a firm hold.
TREPPO consists of a hex socket 40 mm, a leveling screw M10 (available in three lengths, 40 mm, 70 mm and 100 mm), and a M6x30 threaded pin.
Tip: the chisel pins are an aid to marking the drill holes for the threaded pin. TREPPO is secured in the drill holes with KNAPP®-Glue PM+.
Work steps:
– 4-6 boreholes, ø 14 mm, max. 40mm deep (use depth jig!). Drill freely into the concrete step. Blow out the holes and moisten.
– Then fill 1/3 with KNAPP®-Glue PM+ (approx. 2 – 3 cartridges per 100 boreholes).
– Push in the hexagonal dowels so they are flush. Screw in the leveling screws and adjust with water balance or laser for each step.
– Then insert the chisel pins into the tapped hole in the head of the leveling screw and press the wooden step/board on it to mark the boreholes.
– Drill 6 mm holes where the markings are. Screw the threaded pins into the heads of the leveling screws.
– If wanted/needed, apply a sound insulation, then insert a little bit of KNAPP®-Glue PM + into the boreholes and install the step.
