The 43 m high observation deck of the “Goethe Tower” with a total weight of 16 tons was manufactured with our Knapp connector RICON® stainless steel. This connector is approved for service class 3 and thus the perfect solution for this project on the northern edge of the Frankfurt city forest. The construction consists of a framework of four tapered trusses with a viewing platform on top. Prefabricated in the factory and only erected on site. Tobias Döbele of Holzbau Amann relied on RICON® corrosion-resistant stainless-steel connectors for the beams and struts: „They are concealed and easy to install”.
